The Opelika Bulldogs (2-0) will host the Auburn Tigers (1-1) tonight in a Class 7A region showdown at Bulldog Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
This cross-town rivalry always brings excitement, and both teams enter with plenty on the line. Opelika has opened the season with two wins, averaging 30.5 points per game behind quarterback Colby Key (#5), who has thrown for 167.5 yards per game. Running back CJ Johnson (#3) adds balance to the offense with 68 rushing yards per game, while lineman Darius Whitlow (#75) has anchored the line with 10 pancake blocks through two games.
