The Eastmark Firebirds (1-0) will host the Walden Grove Red Wolves (1-0) tonight in a non-conference high school football matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Eastmark High School.
Both teams come in unbeaten after strong season-opening wins. Walden Grove rolled in its opener, scoring 36 points while holding its opponent to just 10. The Red Wolves showcased a powerful ground attack led by Sebastian Gallardo (#28), who rushed for 159 yards, while quarterback Gauge Abalos (#12) added 134 passing yards and 166 total yards of offense.
Eastmark edged its first opponent, 24-22, with a balanced performance. Running back Zaiden Virani (#20) led the way with 152 rushing yards, and quarterback Dayne Silver (#2) chipped in with 104 passing yards. On defense, linebacker Bryson Bowman (#31) stood out with 19 tackles, the highest among both teams’ leaders.
