Breaking NEWS – United States – Manny Pacquiao, 46, is set to come out of retirement to face Mario Barrios for the World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight championship on July 19 in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao is the only boxer to have won world championships in eight weight classes, more than any other boxer in history, and in 2019, at age 40, he became the oldest welterweight world champion in history.
Pacquiao served as a Philippine senator from 2016 to 2022, retiring from boxing in 2021 ahead of his 2022 presidential bid.
“I’m back! I’ll face WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios on July 19th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Let’s make history together,” Pacquiao wrote on Instagram and Twitter.
