The latest version of the Vista fuel feed module, now being factory fitted to the BMW Mini, has taken a further step down the integration path. As well as the fuel pump, filter, and gauge, it now features as standard a pressure regulator.
This TI Automotive in-house designed component is what sets the new Vista (Venturi Integrated System for Turbine Application) apart from its predecessor and other systems.
It provides precise fuel pressure regulation thanks to a unit loading sequence carried out automatically.
Vista’s components are standardised so that, for example, the same springs are used for pressure levels ranging from 3 to 3.5 bars. All that is required to switch to a vehicle model requiring a different fuel pressure range is to change the regulator opening spring.
The module is also designed around a common base. The catalogue features more than 60 models, using just 25 primary components. The only element that changes is the customer interface, the upper part of the module: the base diameter, the electrical connector and the petrol feed pipe outlet.
Nissan has selected Vista to equip its P32 model in Japan. It is the manufacturer’s eighth type of vehicle for the Japanese market to be equipped with the module.
