Scapa has launched two high temperature PVC foam tapes coated on one side with an aggressive, pressure-sensitive adhesive. They are designed for NVH and water sealing applications in the automotive industry.
Scapa 3279 uses the standard acrylic adhesive used on the company’s PVC foam tapes while Scapa 3289 has a high tack acrylic adhesive system. Both perform at temperatures up to 125°C and bond to most surfaces such painted metals, aluminium and moulded plastic parts. The 3289 tape has an excellent bonding performance on powder coated, irregular and difficult to bond surfaces and lends itself to sealing and anti-vibration systems in roof trim areas.
Products are available in roll format or specifically die cut shapes.
