A new exhaust gas aftertreatment system and parameterisation for a 40-tonne truck are new features added to dSPACE’s diesel engine simulation model
The Diesel Engine Simulation Package of dSPACE’s Automotive Simulation Models (ASM) has an exhaust gas aftertreatment system consisting of physical models for a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel particulate filter (DPF). There is also a new standard parameter set for a 40-tonne truck equipped with a six cylinder, 12 litre diesel engine so users can start work with the model even if they have no parameter data of their own.
Like other ASM functionalities, this is visible to users down to Simulink block level. This makes the model suitable for customer-specific modifications and extensions.
The model can be run in real time on a dSPACE simulator for testing electronic control units by hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
